Job Opportunities ... academic units within the College of Agriculture and
Natural Resources, and offers instructional programs leading
to B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Nutritional Sciences. At
the undergraduate level, the Department offers programs in
Nutrition and Dietetics. A food science minor is offered in
collaboration with other departments in the College.
Research programs include basic investigations of molecular
and biochemical mechanisms of nutrient action and
metabolism, applied research to determine the effects of
diet on health, and community-based research to assess
dietary needs of at-risk populations. Outreach programs
include nutrition, health, and food safety targeted
particularly to underserved populations, and provide
professional service to individuals, public agencies, and
