research purposes, and for general information to the
academic community through books, periodicals, microforms,
documents, media and other materials. The Associate Dean
also will manage the Library’s budget and other
resources and implement technological advances. ALA
accredited; MLS required ; thorough knowledge of higher
education principles, practices and procedures; thorough
knowledge of current library practices and procedures in
institutions of higher education and campuses that focus on
scholarship and student learning; a strong technology
background and record of implementing technological
innovation in a Library; extensive administrative and
supervisory ability and the ability to work productively
with diverse staff; administrators, faculty, students and
external communities. Starting Date: January, 2008. Review
