involvement and technical writing. Experience with
transportation related Environmental Assessments and
Environmental Class of Action Determination (ECAD)
procedures is preferred. Responsibilities include
development of Location/Design Reports, documentation of
engineering alternatives in accordance with NEPA
requirements and supervising other engineers, scientist, and
technicians preparing these reports. Position is 40 to 45
hours per week, is exempt from overtime, will include
minimum travel, supervision from senior staff and
interfacing with other engineering disciplines. A working
relationship with Chicago area agencies such as IDOT, CDOT
and ISTHA is highly recommended. Requires BS in Civil or
Transportation Engineering, PE, with 10 to 20 years
experience, and an AICP certification is a plus. Illinois PE
