Ste 400, Norfolk, VA 23510 Hours: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.,
Monday – Friday; may involve flexible work schedules to
cover educational programs on nights and weekends.
Description: This is varied administrative and demonstrative
work in nature. Work is performed under the supervision of
the Battalion Chief – Office of Fire Prevention & Life
Safety with incumbent planning, prioritizing, and carrying
out assigned duties related to the position. Essential
Functions: Prepare lesson plans and deliver fire & life
safety lectures and interactive learning presentations to
diverse groups including civic groups, business
organizations and the general public. Plan, organize and
deliver fire & life safety educational programs to
students in Grades 2-4 of the Norfolk Public School System.
