James, weatherman, spoke to North Summit Middle School
students about how to become a meteorologist. On April 11,
2005, Barbara Smith, news anchor, spoke to Riverside
Elementary School students about news reporting, reporter’s
writing styles, and skills needed in broadcasting. On April
14, 2005, Ruth Todd, news anchor, spoke to Hillside
Intermediate School students about journalism and
broadcasting during their Career Day event. On October 5,
2004 and March 30, 2005, Sales Manager Emily Hunt through
her participation in the Granite School Advisory Board,
spoke to marketing classes at Granger High School about
