The educational component consists of lectures, field trips and workshops offered through the School of the Chicago Botanic Garden. As an intern in the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL), you will gain experience and knowledge of botanic garden education programs with a special emphasis on plant-based learning for formal youth and educator programs. The CTL is a specialized area of the Education Department that focuses on the development, delivery and evaluation of educational programs for school students, teachers and youth attending preschool through twelfth grade. Most interns work between 37.5 and 40 hours per week at $8.16 per hour. Housing is not provided. Assistance, however, in finding local accommodations is given.
