Governmental Accounting Standards Board, the Generally
Accepted Accounting Principles, Governmental Accounting,
Auditing and Financial Reporting and the State Auditor's
requirements. Function: Compile annual financial data
(reports and exhibits) and prepare county financial
statements for publication and yearly audit by state
auditor. Prepare monthly budget reports for departments and
programs. Maintain good working relationships with county
accounting staff, department heads, and auditors. Must
possess the ability to perform detailed accounting, analyze
financial data, understand and meet requirements of GAAP and
GASB, meet deadlines, and work extra hours as needed.
Working knowledge of the Integrated Finance System (IFS) and
General Ledger Accounting preferred. Prerequisites: Training
and experience substantially equivalent to a four year
degree in finance, accounting or similar field and
experience with governmental financial management and
