Downtown DC BID : Employment Opportunities ... Planning and
Development, and the Streetscape Manager (a landscape
architect) in initiating, developing and executing the
partnership program. Among the intern's duties: · Assess
current park conditions. · Perform research on the history
of the parks. · Perform research on peer parks. · Interview
park stakeholders. · Assist Downtown BID and NPS staff and
consultants on proposed improvements to design, maintenance
and programming. · Assist staff and consultants with project
management. · Develop communications materials.
Qualifications: Candidates should have completed a
bachelor's degree, and OONNEE year of a postgraduate program
in Landscape Architecture, Planning, Urban Design or related
field, by May 2008. Related work experience and familiarity
with Downtown Washington, DC are also desirable.
Compensation: Intern will be compensated as a temporary
employee, $12-15 per hour depending on experience. Note that
there is no housing accommodation, relocation allowance or
travel reimbursement associated with this temporary
