psycho-social, legal and mental health needs and assuring
the immigration status of youth enrolled in the URM Program.
The caseworker provides services and guidance to foster
families and foster children/youth in a multicultural
setting. He/she provides services in coordination and
cooperation with: school personnel and educational
advocates, mental health specialists, DSS attorneys,
Pro-Bono attorneys, State and Federal Agencies, Church and
community groups, other LSS programs and administrative
staff and the National Lutheran Immigration and Refugee
Services. Hours per week: Full-time Requirements
Competencies required include: · BSW degree or a bachelor's
degree in a related field, MSW Preferred · Skills in the
provision of child welfare services · Capacity to adhere to
HIPAA and LCS confidentiality ethics · Above average
Spanish/English written and expressive language capacity ·
Active participation in both individual and group
supervision processes · Solution orientated and crisis
