PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS : Plans, coordinates, and directs
the professional development for the school system. Provides
in-service education and coordinates the development of
courses related to professional development. Conducts
assessments of employees’ training needs and
implements professional developments programs and services.
Designs and implements annual division-wide staff
development initiatives. Coordinates leadership development
programs, activities, workshops, and training that support
the division’s vision, mission, and goals. Conducts
new teacher training sessions and coordinates the National
Board Certification Program. Serves on the Metropolitan
Educational Training Alliance (META) committee at VCU.
Prepares and maintains the department budget and approves
all purchase vouchers. Manages the tuition reimbursement
program. Keeps abreast of the latest developments and
research in the field, instructional best practices, and
