(08169 ) JOB SUMMARY: Under general supervision, performs
assignments of limited scope which require the application
of standard techniques, procedures and criteria in
performing a sequence of related engineering tasks in the
environmental engineering field including design of
wastewater treatment and collection systems and water
treatment and distribution system projects. Assignments
involve some unusual or difficult problems requiring
discipline knowledge and abilities beyond the entry level.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: • Assists in the collection and analysis
of data from reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, product
catalogs, tests, and aerial photographs to plan and design
projects. • Assists in limited client contact and
communication pertaining to specific projects. • Assists in
the development of probable design costs estimated for
projects within the department. • Prepares and checks design
computations and quantity estimates. (appropriate to
