Transportation Engineer (Traffic) (06399) Conduct traffic
studies and prepare traffic reports for major transportation
projects as well as subdivision access permits. Oversee the
preparation of designs for signing, striping, traffic signal
systems, and roadway lighting. Project experience includes
management of an urban traffic studies, responsible for
neighborhood traffic mitigation, school safety program;
traffic signal needs studies, and annual update to traffic
volume maps. Extensive experience in the application of the
MUTCD. Knowledge of Guide Sign, Highway Capacity Software,
SYNCHRO, CORSIM, SIGNAL, PASSER, and WARRANTS, including
visual presentation of results. Knowledge of transportation
system modeling a plus. Responsible for marketing assistance
for transportation-related projects. Responsible for support
to other offices, including travel, as necessary.
Opportunity to develop a traffic engineering department.
Requires Bachelors of Science in engineering from an
accredited four-year college, PE license, and 10 years
experience in traffice engineering, and transportation
