public-private partnerships, and legislative initiatives.
Analyzes existing databases; such as SEER-Medicare and NCDB.
Develops new research opportunities through data linkages
with administrative databases. Initiates research projects
requiring data collection from patients, physicians, and
medical facilities. Provides input to ACS initiatives to
improve the quality of cancer care on a national level.
REQUIREMENTS: include Ph.D. or equivalent degree in
epidemiology, health services research, biostatistics, or
health economics; or M.D. with relevant training/
experience. Strong statistical background and knowledge of
cancer screening and treatment preferred. Experience in
analyzing administrative health records, data management
experience, familiarity with SSAASS, STATA and other
analytical software, track record in health services
