company is seeking a staff Actuary for their operation in
Dallas. This position is responsible for the valuation of
liabilities, calculation of reserves, surplus evaluation,
projections of operating gains, cash flow analysis and other
financial reporting, as required. The Actuary must
effectively interface with all levels within the
organization. This individual will require extensive
knowledge of multi-line claims, pricing, national/local
filings, regulatory compliance and rate-making.
Responsibilities include: Working with Program Operations to
identify issues and opportunities Providing analytical
"value-add" support for team development of
"total business solutions" Pricing, reinsurance
analysis and product evaluation Making factual based
recommendation to management Providing effective verbal and
written communication to all parties Participating in
developing product investment strategy and state filings and
related matters Expected to exercise discretion and judgment
in analyzing complex information requests
Qualifications/Skills required include: BA/BS degree, Math,
Statistics, Business and/or Professional Insurance
