Staff Openings: Internship in International Education

The Fulbright Foreign Students Program and the Israeli-Arab Scholarship Programs (IASP)

Funded by the U.S. Department of State, the Fulbright Foreign Student Program and the Israeli-Arab Scholarship Program (IASP) award scholarships to students from the Middle East and North Africa for graduate study in the United States. We are seeking an intern to assist with scholarship administration as soon as possible and to continue through the Spring Semester.

This internship may be of particular interest to students interested in international education. This internship may also serve as a way to learn about graduate study and the process of obtaining admission to graduate school. Also, for students interested in applying for Fulbright grants, this opportunity may provide insights into how to be competitive in the Fulbright application process.

Internship Responsibilities: Fulbright Foreign Student Program and IASP:

  • Assist with preparations for the Fulbright and IASP workshops
  • Prepare dossiers of new Fulbright and IASP nominees
  • Support placement of nominees into U.S. graduate programs
  • Prepare U.S. arrival information and orientation materials for new incoming students
  • Research and track program alumni and update alumni database
  • Assist with the general administration of Fulbright and IASP

Qualifications:

  • Interest in international education
  • Multicultural communication skills
  • Organizational & research skills
  • Computer experience (MS Word and Excel preferred)
  • Familiarity with the World Wide Web

Hours: The intern is expected to work 15-20 hours per week.

Compensation: The intern will receive an hourly stipend.
