Information Technology Operations Support Analyst/Help Desk

Locations:

  • Rocheser, NY

Position Description:

  • Coordinates software and hardware implementation plans.
  • Oversees projects as directed by the Manager of Information systems.
  • Coordinates call center application requirements with sales management.
  • Provides assistance in developing and maintaining application reporting metrics.
  • Works with telecom vendors coordinating services and projects.
  • Installs hardware and peripheral computer components.
  • Monitors business critical systems and takes corrective action to ensure system up time.

Mid-Level Field Calibration Technician

Locations:

  • Furlong, PA

Position Description:

  • Calibration and Preventative Maintenance on an extensive variety of process controlled and laboratory equipment on-site at customer facilities within the Life Sciences and other regulated industries.
  • Strong leadership with the ability to be a key account representative, working with a team of sales and service support to ensure exemplary customer relationships.
  • Organized, resourceful, highly motivated, and dedicated problem solver with the proven ability to work in unison with customers and staff.
  • Ability to train, assist and mentor lower-level technicians.
  • Calibrate, repair, and perform preventive maintenance of electronic, electro-mechanical, or mechanical instrumentation.
  • Ability to calibrate, operationally qualify and understand functionality of complex systems including but not limited to: Autoclaves, Lyophilizers, Titrator, Bio-reactors, UV-VIS Spectrophotometers, Viscometers, and TOC analyzers.

Compliance Specialist

Location:

Position Description

  • Transcat’s Validation and Compliance Services group provides maintenance and compliance services for Pharma, Biotech and other Life Science industries. We are looking for a Compliance Specialist  with exceptional interpersonal, organizational and troubleshooting skills. Travel will be approximately 10% to Fort Washington and/or Puerto Rico.  Candidates must be willing to travel to these sites as required. Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or Computer Science or 5+ years in the FDA regulated industry.
  • 2-5 years’ experience in FDA related manufacturing or laboratory operations
  • Knowledge of FDA regulations, pharmaceutical GMPs (21 CFR 210 and 211), and/or ISO regulations.  Must have prior pharma/biological instrumentation and/or calibration experience at the process level.
  • Writes and revises Standard Operating Procedures and designs forms.
  • Manages all instrument “walk down” activities and reviews all documented results.
  • Attends and participates in collaborations between company sites to standardize on best practices and problem solving.
  • Assists in the review of Quality Standards for the Calibration Program to ensure said standards are well-aligned to plant sites.
  • Evaluate site processes with base business engineers/process owners/R&D to ensure that instrumentation characteristics are in alignment with GMP and sound calibration methodologies. 
  • Work closely with process owners/R&D/ Validation and others to drive site development of Process Tolerances and Calibration Tolerances.
  • Familiar with pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device manufacturing process, facilities and equipment, calibration, IQ, OQ, PQ, and development of SOPs and User Guide writing in both calibration and SAP technical areas
  • Documented working knowledge of facilities and/or manufacturing process.  Examples include:  formulation, filling, packaging, etc.
  • Experience with software and process control applications is desirable – GAMP 5 guidance familiarity a plus
  • Previous work history or familiarity with validation helpful.

Position Description

INBOUND SALES AND SERVICE REPRESENTATIVES

Position Description:

Builds and maintains customer’s relationships by offering a consultative approach.  Uses Customer Connective Skills to identify customer needs, opportunities, and makes decisions on next steps.  Cultivates sales call opportunities in order to generate incremental business. Prepares product and calibration quotes and orders. Demonstrates ability and proficiency to upsell and increase average order size (dollar amount).  Provides technical product support to the customer and involves applicable marketing and/or vendors to determine specifications needed for the customer’s applications.  Makes outbound lead follow up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to qualify leads and sell products and services.  Overcomes technical and business objections of prospective customers and assists the sales process to close.  Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of Transcat’s inventory levels and vendor delivery schedules. Calibration Technician

Position Description:

  • Test, calibrate, troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, electromechanical and electronic measuring, recording and indicating instrumentation and equipment for conformance to established standards.
  • Successful candidate must be able to perform essential functions either in a calibration laboratory or at a customer site.

Job Requirements:

  • Qualified candidates must possess a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, a high degree of motivation and work ethic.
  • 3+ years experience as a technician.
    Must possess a valid drivers license with an excellent driving record and be able to travel to offsite customer locations (possibly overnight).
  • Associates Degree, preferably in a technical discipline and/or Formal training in Metrology, such as the Precision Measurement Equipment Course (PMEL) or TMDE is highly desirable.
